Scope of the vehicle guide
The official WARDOGS store page advertises vehicles and presents a combined-arms environment with a randomized 2x2 km Control Zone, building, and destruction. Public descriptions and presentations refer to ground support, including armored or artillery-style roles, but they do not publish a final roster, armor values, ammunition model, repair cost, crew layout, or control scheme. This guide therefore explains how to plan around a protected ground vehicle without inventing a tank spreadsheet.
The vehicle matters when it changes a squad’s route or pressure. It is not automatically valuable because it is large or difficult to destroy. A vehicle that arrives at the Control Zone without a dismount plan can leave its passengers trapped, visible, or separated from the score.
Choose a support purpose
Before moving, name the job: escort a crossing, hold a route, pressure a structure, recover a squad, or force another team to respect an approach. The purpose determines the safe distance and the moment the vehicle should leave. If the squad cannot name a job, keep the vehicle in reserve or use it to move information rather than charge the nearest contact.
Ground armor can make a route feel safer, but the three-team mode adds an unseen angle. Keep one player watching the flank and keep a route for passengers to leave. Do not assume the vehicle’s protection covers every direction or every explosive. Test the current build’s behavior and state uncertainty when the public source does not specify it.
Read terrain and destruction
An armored vehicle is strongest when the terrain supports its purpose. Open ground may give sight and movement but also reveal the route. Dense structures can protect an approach while limiting turning or escape. Building and destruction can change both situations. A wall that once hid the vehicle may disappear, while a new opening may create a better route for both teams.
Mark a stop point before entering the contested area. The driver should know where passengers can dismount, and the squad should know where it regroups if the vehicle is disabled. Do not park on the only exit or block the cover the team needs after leaving. Transport is finished when the squad reaches a useful position, not when the vehicle remains intact.
Connect armor to the score
The first team to 100 points wins according to the official store page. Use armored support to protect a scoring rotation or to deny a direct approach that threatens the objective. Do not chase a retreat far from the zone without a reason that protects the next score. A vehicle that spends its time hunting may be winning an exciting fight while another team earns the points.
The published cash language also matters. Starting cash, teamplay cash, and persistent cash may affect how often the squad can replace or support a vehicle, but final purchase and repair rules are not documented here. Keep a reserve and note the live interface. If the cost is unclear, assume the vehicle is a limited resource rather than an unlimited answer.
Crew communication and fallback
Give the driver one clear destination call. Passengers should report threats, but the final stop can be short and unambiguous. Assign one player to watch the next route and another to watch the rear. If the vehicle is damaged, blocked, or drawing too much attention, say whether the squad dismounts, reverses, or abandons it. A known fallback prevents four people from making different emergency choices.
The official Community Hub currently announces a closed beta on August 21–23, 2026 and a separate random Steam Playtest route; Early Access is planned for September 10. Mark every vehicle observation with its event and date. Read the official Steam store page and official Community Hub before relying on exact vehicle details.
Armored vehicle checklist
- Name the scoring or route purpose before moving.
- Choose a stop with a usable passenger exit.
- Keep one observer on the unexplained flank.
- Re-check terrain after building or destruction.
- Leave when the vehicle no longer supports the objective.
- Record event scope before repeating a vehicle claim.
